CRAB, the Chesapeake Regional Accessible Boating program, sponsors a fleet of 6 boats that are modified to be used by sailors with disabilities. The Boatyard Bar & Grill Regatta will be CRAB’s first entry into racing on Chesapeake Bay and will provide CRAB sailors an opportunity to compete against all comers in an open PHRF event. Insider Tips: The party is open to regatta participants and all CRAB supporters. $5.00 entry tickets are available for racers at the skipper bag pick-up this week on Thursday and Friday. $10.00 entry tickets are available at EYC the day of the party. Enjou stagecoach rides at Outlaw Days

You’ll be transported back in time to the days of the old west, with stagecoach rides, opportunities to pan for gold, visits to cowboy and Indian villages, equestrian shows, and a staged gunfight! The Skipjack Nathan of Dorchester

The Sean Fleming Band

If you’re looking for something to do that will put a little jig in your step, head over to Easton Friday evening to hear the Sean Fleming Band perform in the historic Avalon Theater. Sean Fleming knows how to enchant a crowd with his sweet mix of original and pop tunes, from Celtic to rock to country and folk—all wrapped up with his wonderful sense of humor. Each of his band members brings with wealth of talent to the stage. You’ll hear Steve Holley on drums, Justin Jordan on guitar, and Bruce Gordon on guitar.

If you’ve never been to the Avalon Theatre, you’re in for a treat. The historic venue was constructed as a movie theater in 1921, touted “the Showcase of the Eastern Shore” with a magnificent 18-foot domed ceiling. Now fitted with state of the art sound and lighting, the Avalon Foundation hosts a variety of presentations, including musical and dramatic theater, symphony orchestras, film screenings, and a variety of national music acts.

Seating is by general admission and doors open 30 minutes in advance of the show. There is plenty of parking.

History comes to life Friday afternoon from 4-6 p.m. with a rousing historical discussion over wine and cheese in the c1794 Geddes-Piper House, home to the Kent County Historical Society.

Treat yourself to an exciting weekend getaway in historic Chestertown where the arts and history come to life! Art in the Park, Chestertown

Over 40 artists and artisans exhibit and sell their work at this annual event sponsored by the Chestertown Arts League and located in Fountain Park in Chestertown. Visitors choose from an array of pieces that include oil paintings, watercolors, and pastels, as well as drawings and sculptures in range of styles from realistic to abstract.
